There are two topics that we write on fairly regularly here that routinely cause site traffic and interest to dive. But we keep writing about ’em anyway because they’re important.

One of those subjects is technology. The other is economics.

For various reasons – many of which are rooted in lousy “end times” views that fuel apathy, laziness and disengagement from all things not Vacation Bible School related – vast numbers of professing Christians in America have decided to just let the realms of art, economics, business, politics and pretty much everything else go to hell. (See: Encouragement from Satan.)

Back in February, when we asked, What’s the difference between a bankrupt Greece and a bankrupt America?, we pretty much knew that most of these folks had little interest in the answer.

Why?

Because we’ve been conditioned not to care by practically every system, media outlet and “expert” mouthpiece in the land. (Including most “pastors” and “priests” heading State-sanctioned 501(c)(3) religious organizations – see: Why is the beast of Socialism eating our children? Ask your pastor.)

Even as unbiblical economics are used to dictate practically everything that we do with our time, we still find ourselves discouraged from taking economics seriously in a biblical context. Thus, we perpetuate the bonds of our own ignorance and slavery – a slavery that the powers-that-be have orchestrated and are even now ratcheting up in pursuit of full blown Corporate State control over the purposefully ignorant masses. (See: Fiat $lavery: We have been bought and paid for…with nothing.)

Now, with news breaking fairly regularly on the pending “Grexit” from the European Union and the potential consequences of such an event becoming more clear by the day, it seemed like a good time to remind even those who don’t care that Christian surrender of the economic foundations of civilization is unacceptable and has catastrophic consequences.

As is about to be evidenced in Greece.

I know that NFL training camps are on the horizon and that the Blackhawks just won the Stanley Cup, so there’s probably not a lot of time left to consider the pending (purposeful/orchestrated) economic collapse of Western Civ. Even so, we really should try to shoe-horn in some time to study the Word of God on economics so that we might find and apply the truth that the System of systems does not want us to find and apply. Hence the relentless System-spun distractions of sports and entertainment idolatry. (See: Men: Do you know more about sports than you do about Scripture?)

And remember: As Greece preps for implosion, our beloved Pagan Right “leaders” at home here in the “land of the free” and the home of the NSA are doing everything they can to secure the secret multinational trade agreement known as ObamaTrade. (See: Republican enabled ObamaTrade: Now *that’s* Progressive!)

Please connect the dots, people.

Please acknowledge and repent of any role you may have had in your own hoodwinking. After all, if you’re anything like me, you were raised up and programmed through a State-run “education” system consecrated to the propagation of an explicitly anti-Christian worldview in every realm of life, so shaking off the cobwebs and embracing hard biblical truths that run counter to all of that Pagan programming can be hard (and painful).

I hope and pray that we will consider and submit to the lovingly sufficient Word of God as the essential foundation for economics and everything else. Lord willing, we might then by His grace finally be empowered to do everything that we are able with whatever He has given us to move ourselves, our families, and our culture more toward Him…and thus toward true and abundant life.

We have much to learn from Greece when it comes to economics.

And infinitely more to learn from the Nature of God as revealed in His Word.

So let’s get to it…while there is still time.

  1. This is so true. These are the things that my eyes have only been opened to in the last few years. I've been a believer for 14 years and its scary how the truth gets so warped in the churches and that Pastors aren't speaking about it. I know that we need to pray for the truth to be preached from the pulpits. It was God who spoke to my me to keep my kids home and educate them with the Truth; first with the Word of God!
Thanks for posting. Keep it up!
