Bill Cosby has been accused of sexual assault and abuse by scads of woman. At least some of the charges seem to be quite credible.

Ditto for Bill Clinton.

Yet while the former is being pummeled, pounded, defrocked and deconstructed for his hateful behavior, the latter is…well…being adored, championed, and showered with cash at every turn.

This latest (and entirely predictable) example of raging, woman-hating hypocrisy radiating from the Pagan Political Left has been met and engaged with typical exuberance by the latest contrived champion of the Pagan Political Right, one Mr. Donald J. Trump.

Clinton’s long-standing pass on the woman-hating/abusing/assaulting front has come to light (again) in the wake of Bill Cosby’s recent career and reputation implosion in the wake of charges that he did to women things that apparently only high ranking Democrats should be allowed to do.

As reported in The Wall Street Journal:

Mr. Clinton is now facing the heat himself as he gets into the race. It can’t help that his past misbehavior is resurfacing at the same time Bill Cosby, once a beloved figure himself, has just been charged with sexual assault. The comparisons between the two men are too obvious.

So is the question about the different responses the two men have received. Even before Bill Cosby was charged with a crime, the allegations against him led to his being stripped of honorary degrees, booted off boards and seeing his name replaced on buildings. Bill Clinton, meanwhile, is feted and rakes in the millions.

Buzzfeed‘s Andrew Kaczynski recently noted a certain Republican President wannabe’s take on all of this:

Donald Trump says it would be “very interesting” to ask Bill Clinton how he was different from Bill Cosby.

Asked on the Howie Carr Show on Monday if there is a difference between Clinton and Cosby, Trump said, “Well, the Cosby thing is a weird deal and he’s got himself some big problems, and you almost have to ask Bill Clinton that question. It would be a very interesting question to some day ask him. Certainly he has a lot of strong charges against him and it’s pretty bad stuff. And it only got brought up because she said I have sexist tendencies. And I respect women so much and I’ll protect women and I’ll protect them and I’ll protect the whole country.”

Does The Donald make a good point here?

Definitely.

Even so, Donald “I respect women so much” Trump is on marriage number three, it should be noted.

Shouldn’t it?

“Be noted”, I mean?

I’m not saying that being a multiple divorcee known for trading out wives represents behavior equal in offensiveness to that of either of the two more flagrantly woman-hating Bills in question, but shouldn’t The Donald’s record and behavior as it relates to marriage, wives, and the like actually “be noted” when a man claims to “respect women so much”?

Shouldn’t we aim to be consistent in our application of standards?

Shouldn’t we “test all things” equally and by the same ultimate standard (hint: Scripture)?

The Buzzfeed bit continued:

Carr also compared two past headlines about Trump’s and Clinton’s sex lives.

“I remember a headline in one of the New York tabs, I forget which one, saying about one of your girlfriends, maybe one of your wives, ‘best lover I had,’ that’s the headline I remember about you. The headline I remember about him in the New York tabs is, ‘you better put some ice on it.’”

“Oh wow. That’s amazing,” Trump said.

Amazing?

Sure.

But how exactly?

Is it “amazing” that such an obviously low character guy as Trump can capture the hearts, passions, and political energy of millions of professing conservative Christians in America who would do anything and support anyone in order to beat the Democrats for the White House in November? (See: Why are American “Christian conservatives” so ridiculously liberal?)

Nah, not really. (See: When Conservatism Trumps Christianity, How unrepentant and lost is Donald Trump? And what does that tell us about America?, and Americans Embrace Trump’s Dismissal of Repentance.)

Is it “amazing” that millions of professing Christians in America are once again looking to the Pagan Political Right to “Make America Great Again!”

Nope.

Not at all.

Is it “amazing” that the culture keeps rocketing to hell before our eyes as we fervently rush to hand the reins over to yet another wave of unbelieving, inherently anti-Christian “experts” and political leaders? (See: The Fear-Driven Voting of America’s “Conservative Christians”.)

Of course not.

What would truly be amazing and would really make America great is American Christians really, truly, and actually leading the way in repentance and submission to Christ as King in practice in every realm of life.

That would be amazing.

…and that will never be the proposed course of action advocated by any Pagan Political Right Wing or Pagan Political Left Wing “leader”, since the Pagan Right and Pagan Left are two wings of the same dragon.

The sooner we realize that and act accordingly, the sooner we will finally be able to protect our women and families from being pillaged by that Pagan political beast, all  by God’s grace, all for His glory, and all to our very real benefit right here and right now in this part of God’s creation.

  1. I've never understood the mass love-fest of Trump. Perhaps it's because he's clearly an amoral narcissist, who is not that much unlike the current (p)resident. I find so many Christians who absolutely LOVE this guy, who respect how he handles the media, and ignore the fact that he's a godless manipulator. If he wins the GOP nomination, I'll either sit this election out (perhaps the final one), or I'll vote for someone who has no chance whatsoever.
