I know that right now it can be hard to imagine winning.

.

It can be hard to imagine children and a culture freed from the State here in “the land of the free” and the home of the NSA.

.

But we will win.

.

By the grace of God through the Gospel-fueled Great Commission, His people will conquer even the most seemingly invulnerable of enemy strongholds and cultural idols…including State controlled children’s “education” and every one of its many associated evils.

.

In the meantime, we fight the good fight, striving by His grace to more and more faithfully proclaim and apply His nature as revealed in His Word as the standard by which every realm of His creation is to me understood and cultivated.

.

So it is out of a love for the Lord and a love for the lost – lost people and lost cultures – that we keep shining unwanted light onto sacred cows and proclaiming the hated Gospel command to repent.

.

In that “shining unwanted light” sprit and in the wake of two well received posts from earlier this week – Ten answers to those “What about socialization?” questions from public school advocates. and Ten problems with the “salt and light” excuse for feeding children to the State. – it seemed appropriate to share the following report as presented by CBS Los Angeles earlier this month (please note the fourth paragraph, which has been highlighted with bold print):

.

A San Diego County father has been arrested after throwing a Playboy-themed 18th birthday party for his daughter.

“Liv’s Playboy Mansion” party was held Friday at the Poway home of Jeff Lake, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

Investigators say Lake, an attorney specializing in medical marijuana cases, hosted the lingerie-clad celebration for about 200 people, including teens who drank alcohol.

Lake’s wife, Jacki, a former Poway High School PTA president, also tweeted “Happiest birthday to the baddest b**** in town. Now don’t get arrested. Love you madly.”

The celebration was later broken up by deputies after neighbors complained.

Lake was arrested for violating Poway’s social host ordinance, which makes it illegal to host a party where anyone underage drinks alcohol, officials said.

Lake, who is no longer in custody, faces a possible 6-month jail sentence.
