Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.”

~ Matthew 4:8-9

While there’s much that we don’t yet know as to where this presidential election cycle will lead, there is one thing – one important and valuable lesson – that seems to have already been made emphatically (and painfully) clear: If Lucifer himself won the GOP nomination for President, he’d get millions of American evangelical votes in the general election.

I mean, we can’t have Hillary as President, am I right?!

And certainly not Bernie Sanders?!

What a nightmare that would be!

If we’re gonna go to hell on a rocket, it must be with a Republican piloting that rocket!

Oh sure, some evangelicals would by the grace of God finally wake up and draw a line at that point, but with present sky-high levels of professing Christian support for the likes of Donald Trump, a biblically illiterate casino/strip club promoter who is about as drenched as possible in an over-the-top anti-Christ worldview, one could at least make a reasonable case for The Devil doing even better than Trump with professing evangelical voters in America.

If Trump’s claim to being a “successful businessman” (meaning: throwing Scripture out the window and pursuing worldly success on the world’s terms, including profiting from things like casinos and strippers) is at the core of his resume and the one thing that most pro-Trump evangelicals ramble on about most loudly and proudly, then why not vote for The Devil if given the chance?

Isn’t he much better at everything that Trump is best at?

Sure, Trump wrote The Art of the Deal, which was a New York Times bestseller, but we’re talking about The Devil here. Who knows the black art of worldly deals better than him?

If lines like, “We’re electing a President, not a pastor!” and “We need someone who knows how to get things done here in ‘the real world’!” are supposed to be great arguments and justification for Christians supporting stark raving Statists like Trump (or Romney or Bush or [insert Republican nominee wannabe here]), then aren’t they even better arguments for supporting The Devil himself?

Why not just cut out the middle men and go straight to the top dog, so to speak?

If Donald Trump can “Make America Great Again!” by applying an explicitly anti-Christ approach to business, economics, law, war and civil government, then how much more so The Devil?

Seriously.

Think about it.

Pray about it.

And repent accordingly…ideally before voting for another Republican anti-Christ to “Make America Great Again”.

  1. As a Christian i'm not going to stand by idle while Muslim "refugees" rape and murder my country, and put kids at risk. That is the utter cowardice of 501c3 pew sitting brainwashed morons all glassy eyed and waiting for the rapture while the beast ravages everything without resistance.

Trump is a Christian, speaks the truth (very rare in politics these days…), has an excellent platform, and is a DC outsider financing his own campaign to save the country. He's locked horns with the beast right now- and this is the thanks he gets ?

Retarded BS articles from self-righteous judgemental Christians ! ? People with no brain or regard for the safety of their country deserve to have their empty heads rolled by Muslims. But I WILL NOT let it happen to the innocent children of the USA like it's happening in Europe.

    1. Every single one of us has done wrong to each other. It's called sin and it hurts people deep in the heart. God loves us, His creation, and it angers Him to see us hurting each other because sin always leads to death. The curse is death and life must be taken, blood must be shed. Not one of us has clean enough blood to redeem our own sins, so He came to the earth in man's form, but without sin. He raised the dead, caused the blind to see, the sick were healed, and hope was given to the entire world. Then He became the sacrifice, so His innocent life's blood would be shed for the penalty that we deserve… death. The grave could not hold Him, because sin is the power of the grave. He rose up alive after three days and He is at the Father's right hand ready to make intercession for our prayers to the Father. If we confess our faults before Him, He is faithful to forgive and to cleanse us from our evil hearts.

The Spirit and the Bride compel all who will, to come to receive forgiveness. It is free to us, but has come at a great cost to God, for He sent His only begotten Son to die.

I would urge you to seek true mercy from the Father and truly cry and mourn over sin, ask for forgiveness and if you receive His Spirit in you, then open up His Word (the Authorized King James Bible) and allow Him to teach you and allow His Spirit to correct you and to lead you in all truth.

  2. Many forget that Satan is already the god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4) else how could he have offered to Christ all the kingdoms of this world? Last I checked the great commission was to reach the lost populace, not clean up Roman government. Our ability to participate in elections is stewardship of a right for which we shall answer. I agree that far more thought and prayer need be undertaken before making those type of decisions. However inaction, as in the massive number of "believers" who failed to show up in 2012, can have as profoundly negative an outcome as throwing your support behind the wrong candidate.

    1. Hello Jon,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts here.

Respectfully, I feel compelled to say, out of love for you and love for the Lord, that you are wrong on all counts, and dangerously wrong at that. You're wrong in a way that has proven to be incredibly helpful to the enemies of Christ now dominating the dying (and mostly dead already) American culture. The "Devil's in charge"/"It's all going to hell anyway" pre-emptive surrender vibe that permeates the most popular eschatology in America has played a remarkable role in swinging the culture's gates wide open to enemies of Christ. It's been the ultimate in self-fulfilling bad prophecy that way.

With regard to Satan making an offer to Jesus, please note: SATAN LIES.

      That's just what he does.

Citing Satan's testimony as central to making the case for Satan's lordship/kingship or whatever is, in strict theological terms, a "really bad idea".

With regard to the Great Commission, it's central descriptive passage reads:

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:18-20)

Clearly, all authority on earth belongs to King Jesus. This authority ***on earth*** ***has been*** given to Him, and this already given (past tense) all-encompassing authority is the basis upon which we are told to pursue the Great Commission.

Just as clearly, His Gospel-fueled Great Commission has His people about the business of making obedience disciples (not mere converts who are often revealed to be false in nature by their disinterest in pursuing Christ as Lord in practice and in detail) of all nations, teaching them to OBEY ALL that He has commanded.

2 Corinthians 10:5 also makes plain that the actual Christian life, by God's grace and through His Spirit living within His people, strives to take EVERY thought (and thereby EVERY action, since thoughts precede actions) captive to Christ. This means that every political, economic, business, legal, and every other kind of thought and action are to be taken captive to Christ through the living out of His Gospel-fueled Great Commission.

The Devil only keeps what we leave in his hands and the gates of hell cannot stop the advance of Christ's people with His Spirit under His Word in accordance with His Great Commission.

"Your will be done ON EARTH as it is in heaven" isn't just a throwaway line in a prayer. It is truth and a call to action in accordance with the Great Commission.

Fear of man will be used by the enemy to distract and demoralize Christians into feeling compelled to support "lesser evils". Fear of the Lord will move them in precisely the opposite direction, all by His grace and all for His glory.

I hope that these clarifications are helpful.

      Thanks again for chiming in!

      In His grip,

      Scott

      1. Hey Scott, I hope you don't get bogged down of correction. Satan is the god of this world and the systems and institutions of men. Man has given that authority through sin and Jesus would not have been tempted if it was something that Satan could not have given Him.

And we see that this coming fall shall mark the beginning of this time that Daniel wrote of where the power of the saints will have been successfully scattered: Daniel 12:7"..it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

The occult leaders have done a very strategic work in undermining the Word of God with over 100 alternatives to His preserved Word (KJV) and have saturated the "church" culture with these alternatives that are much more delicate on sin and some actually place Satan as the "Morning Star" which is the title of Our Lord.

The time of refining is definitely upon us.

        1. To choose the patently absurd (in light of the Word of God) claims of Satan over the crystal clear proclamation of King Jesus reveals much about your worldview on this vital subject.

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me."

These are the words of King Jesus in Matthew 28:18, and these words make plain that ALL authority ON EARTH has ALREADY BEEN GIVEN to Him.

Any claim by anyone to the contrary – certainly including the father of lies and those who would believe him – is pure falsehood.

          Repent accordingly.

          1. Please do not think that I ever claimed that Satan's power in this world is ever above the power of my Lord and God Jesus Christ. For He alone is above all powers and above all gods. What I have stated is not at all in contradiction to His perfectly preserved Word which we have in the Authorized King James Bible in these last days.

Reading the Word of God, it is clear that Satan does have great authority and is apparently second only to that of Jesus Christ.

When Jesus was tempted of Satan in the wilderness, he did have the authority to grant unto Jesus the kingdoms of this world.
For they are his to give to whomsoever he desires. That would not have been a temptation if he could not have delivered the object of temptation. But it was the fallen kingdoms of men and the fading glory that passeth away.

Satan does have great authority in this world and it has been prophesied that he will conquer this world and be victorious over the saints of God through his dominion.

"But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."

"And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,"

"And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations."

"And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority."

"when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished."
Again, I never stated that Satan's power is above Jesus'.

"Repent accordingly" (If necessary:) Love you bro:)

  3. Why is it that whenever someone wants to depict Satan, they only put one head and two horns on him? I am not advocating making any images of him, but if someone decided to make an image of Satan, why would they not make it after the description that the scriptures give? Seven Heads, ten horns, a long, powerful tail, shining adornment …

I think the baphomet image is part of his deception

  4. He has won every Republican nomination since at least 1913. He's just been more subtil in times past. Currently he is flaunting his victories over the stupid, moronic "moral minority" corporate proselytes that label themselves as "Christians."

A vote for Jesus over our life is the sanest vote one could cast.
