Happy Secession Day, America!

After last week’s wave of catastrophic “Supreme Court” decisions handed down from the Federal level (see: “Supreme Court” Votes for Wrath of God Upon America), more and more Americans are beginning to think long and hard about the radical decentralization of political power that played such a pivotal role in bringing the United States into existence in the first place. (See also: With ObamaCare and “Gay Marriage” upheld, when (if ever) should we simply say no to Federal control?)

With secession defined as “the action of withdrawing formally from membership of a federation or body, especially a political state”, we should have no trouble seeing and appreciating how central the concept was to the founding of what we call America. Yet we’re not really encouraged to see secession that way these days here in “the land of the free” and the home of the NSA, are we? (See: The Great American Purge of Decentralized Thought Continues.)

Hrmmmm…I wonder why?

I mean, why oh why would the American Corporate State that ceaselessly strives to take control of every aspect of our lives not want us to consider the very thing that gave birth to this “American experiment” in the first place?

Okay, so that’s not really a serious question.

The answer is obvious.

And so is the inherent antagonism between our present ruling elites atop the American Corporate State and the very notion of radical (and biblical) decentralization of power by way of things like peaceful secession.

With that obvious yet not-encouraged-to-be-considered truth in mind, as we go about celebrating American Secession Day on this 4th of July, let’s remember to think the thoughts that they don’t want us to think and ask the questions that they don’t want us to ask. Questions like: Are we really free? Do we even want to know?

Let’s uproot the modern American Statist narrative that turns “Independence Day” on its head and tars the desire to pursue the decentralization of political power as inherently “racist”, “hateful”, and/or “unpratriotic”. (See: Biblical decentralization of power. Learn it. Live it. Love it.)

Let’s speak Truth to (temporary) power.

Let’s stop letting them define the “reality” in which we are supposed to live.

Let’s lead the way in repentance, reformation  and restoration in this land, all by God’s grace, all for His glory, and all to our eternal benefit. (See: Roaring into Post-America Christianity.)

Let’s proclaim and apply Christ as King in practice right here and now, while there is yet time, so that we and our children and our grandchildren might one day know the sweet taste of true liberty, freedom, and justice for all.
